It’s a well known fact that the media (TV, magazines etc) have a big influence on children. Here’s a pretty sad video where kids are asked “Which doll is the nice doll?” when presented a black one and a white one.
Why do they mostly choose the white one? Well, obviously because these kids are racist lol- not really, but the media has perpetuated this message. Every kids show/commercial I grew up watching was mostly made for a white audience and, sadly, this hasn’t changed for the most part even for older shows. CSI, One Tree Hill, Law and Order, Supernatural…I can go on forever. Most TV shows are mostly white. I fucking hate it.
Here’s another question for you to ponder, why is black always associated with evil and white with good?
