Another Day In Paradise DVD cover rapidshare.com dvdrip

Another Day In Paradise is about a poor teen who has to rob and commit petty crimes to keep him an his girlfriend living in their shitty apartment. But one day a “big-time” robber decides to show him the ropes and together they start to go for bigger robberies. Of course it spirals out of control, but I’m not going to tell you how. This was also directed by Larry Clark (the guy who directed Bully) so expect it to be a bit controversial :).

Boys Don’t Cry (1999) [Movie + Song]

boys dont cry DVD cover

This is a very hard movie to watch. It’s about real events that occurred to a transgender called Brandon (played by Hilary Swank). To be honest, the only reason I watched this movie was because I saw the very hot clip of Chloe Sevigny moaning from oral sex from the documentary This Film Is Not Yet Rated and I decided “Hmm…well THAT looks like a movie I want to see!”. Little did I know what I was in for.

This movie REALLY changed the way I thought about what it means to just be a PERSON. The human race is made up of heterosexuals, gays, lesbians, transgenders, etc. Hate crimes against PEOPLE just for being themselves is just sick. I dunno, maybe it’s because I’ve always been sort of an outcast so I can relate.

Freaks And Geeks (Complete Series) [TV Show]

freaks and geeks dvd cover

Freaks & Geeks is perhaps the most realistic teen show ever. Or at least, the one I can relate to the most since I guess I was categorized as either a Freak or a Geek in my school days then I just “didn’t give a damn bout my reputation”. Granted, the time it’s set in is the 1980’s, but it was made by Judd Apatow (my favorite producer in Hollywood right now who also made Superbad) in 1999. I remember watching the episode with the porno tape WITH MY MOM (how embarrassing is that!?) when it was airing on TV, then I didn’t dare to watch it again while she was there (thank God for the Internet lol). The first episode isn’t that good, but keep watching it. It gets REALLY awesome. Too bad it was canceled after only one season.

Grass (1999) [Movie]

grass 1999 DVD cover

Usually the things you hear about weed from the media, your parents, and school is that it’s this horrible drug that will make you into a dumbass and lure you into doing stupid things like getting kicked by a cow in the knee for fun (I’m remembering that stupid anti-drug commercial). Of course, the truth is that weed is one of the LEAST harmful drugs and this documentary does a good job of explaining why. If you’re one of those straight-shooters and have never done anything without researching it first- HERE YOU GO! This is your research for weed biotch. I’m also sharing this is because It’s very hard to find on the net. I know the director of this documentary is called Ron Mann, but he might as well be called Ron DA Mann, cuz dude, this TOTALLY changed the way I thought about weed when I first saw it.

Linkin Park Music Collection [2 Albums]

linkin park

I feel like I shouldda posted this earlier, but whatever. Linkin Park was the first band that I really got into and listened to a FULL CD of the year before I hit high school. These songs have “teen angst” written all over them. Chester really knows how to scream like hell and the combination of metal and rap just produces a brilliant sound (now called Nu-Metal) that had never really been done right in 1999 when they came out. Of course they had a lot of copycats (like the OK band Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach’s first album) and they have since abandoned this sound, but these albums remain their best work.

A single from one of these albums could come out tomorrow and STILL top the charts.
