One of the greatest/underappreciated bands of all time! I feel like Tom, Mark, and Travis raised me because all of these songs are basically exclusively FOR teens. I probably listened to more blink-182 than ANY other music EVER when I was in high school because of the fact that their songs are simple and catchy, and also talk about subjects that teens can relate to (sex, drugs, what a fucking hassle parents can be, and just about any crazy random shit you can think of). When I first heard blink-182 in middle school I COULDN’T STAND THEM because I thought Tom’s voice was annoying as hell. But after a while of getting used to it (it took about a week mind you) I realized that his voice was PERFECT for teen songs. It’s too bad they broke up in 2005, but all of these songs remain a soundtrack to my high school life.

Yes, their album Enema of The State was a rebellion to the all the ‘boy band’ shit that was going on (have you SEEN the “All The Small Things” /borderline gay music video?) and made pop-punk more exciting than it had ever been since Green Day’s Dookie. But the backlash was that it also inspired a bunch of suck-ass copycats (*cough* Simple Plan). Basically you can thank blink-182 for all those high-pitched annoying skater-punk bands (though, some of them like Good Charlotte are ok).

Here are all their good albums. The last one is a live album, and it’s also one of the BEST/funniest live cd’s that I’ve ever heard in my life. When my parents would go out of the house, I used to blast the song “Family Reunion” throughout the whole house and just go crazy (lol, my bed is still broken from jumping on top of it).
